Well, this is an interesting deal. Big warehouse crammed with all sorts of stuff. This is probably only going to appeal to recyclers. The entire contents of the warehouse, excluding motor vehicles, is being sold as ONE LOT. There's a stipulation that whoever buys it will have to have a licensed contractor shore up the roof so it's safe for them to be inside and remove everything. There's an area in the corner of the building approximately 6' square that's fallen in and open to the sky. Some stuff has been wedged in to halt the disintegration, and that stuff has to be removed with the rest of the contents. We don't know if permits will be required from the city to get the job done. The building will be demolished after the contents is removed, so these are not permanent repairs we're talking about; just a stop-gap measure to make it safe to remove the contents. Here's what it looks like inside: Generators and batteries, computers and computer parts, various electronic and industrial equipment and machinery, rocket launchers, metal drums, various metal scrap, fork lift, trailer, vehicles and vehicle parts, paint cans, construction and building supplies, cardboard boxes, metal trunks, cases, and storage containers, shelving, tools, and other miscellaneous stuff. We'll be doing a preview Thursday, May 1, from noon to 1:00 PM. Bring your contractor. There will also be a preview for an hour before the auction on Friday. You will have to sign a liability waiver to be allowed to enter the building. This is in downtown Palo Alto. Here's a MAP.
